The Heart of UAlbany Lacrosse
The UAlbany Lacrosse Alumni Association exists to celebrate our proud history, strengthen our community, and connect past, present, and future Great Danes. Since our program’s beginnings as a club team in 1968, countless players, coaches, and supporters have built a tradition of excellence both on and off the field. This site serves as a central hub for alumni and friends, offering free registration that provides full access to decades of memories, game footage, and photographs, along with up-to-date news and events. By joining, you become part of a vibrant network dedicated to supporting current and former student-athletes, ensuring the bond of UAlbany Lacrosse remains strong long after the final whistle.
Our History Preserved
Through Generous Contributions
This site and its extensive collection of documents, photos, and videos have been made possible through the generous contributions of many dedicated individuals. We especially thank UAlbany Hall of Fame athletic trainer Jack Koelmel for donating over 2,000 photographs dating from the late 1970s through 2002, former head coach Mark Wimmer for providing hours of game film from the 1990s, and videographer Jeff DiNardo for his invaluable footage contributions. We also deeply appreciate the ongoing support of head coach Scott Marr and coaches Merrick Thompson, John Maloney, and Liam Gleason, as well as our Athletic Director Mark Benson and Deputy Athletic Director Vic Cegles, whose commitment has been essential in preserving and celebrating the rich history of UAlbany Lacrosse.

This site is a central hub for alumni and friends, offering access to decades of memories, game footage, and photographs, as well as up-to-date news and events, ensuring the bond of UAlbany Lacrosse remains strong long after the final whistle. In conjunction with the Coaching Staff and our NIL Collective, the UALAA will also host a number of special events, including receptions, the Fall alumni game, our annual golf outing, and other regional gatherings, all in support of the UAlbany Lacrosse program.
